Summary:

Sharing with Lady Beaumont her happiness of telling her that Coleridge is in sight of England and is Portsmouth until he is through quarantine; adding that Mr. Russel, an artist, is with him, and it is through him that the news was shared; saying that she does not doubt, nor does Mrs. Coleridge, that Coleridge is afraid to inquire after them and that they only had one letter from him since her brother's death; stating that Mr. Russel wrote to his friends at Exeter, who wrote to the Coleridges at Ottery and the Coleridges to Mrs. Coleridge, making it at least ten days since his imprisonment, but does not give any details about his ship; adding that William, Mary, and Thomas are at Park House and her joy of Coleridge's return will be a burden until she knows that William and Mary have been informed; addressing that William intends to call upon Lord Lowther before his return and that they were deeply affected by Sir George's letter before William and Mary left for Park House; expressing that William will write to Sir George immediately; concluding that she is ending quickly to catch the post, but hopes to hear from her soon and that Sir George has recovered from the shock, "for death, when it comes to a young person, is a shock for the survivors"; (postscript) saying that she will transcribed the sonnet of Michelangelo which William sent Sir George the translation of in her next letter.
