Summary:

Congratulating Henry on his engagement to Amelia Morris (née Holland); telling him that she had often wished that he would marry, "but it never once struck me that you had an undevelopped [sic] angel over your head, on the point of dropping by your side"; writing that she read Amelia's letter to Henrietta and was very touched by it: "Will you tell the person who wrote it that I will love her, if she will let me, and that I believe in her fully from this moment, and have a great prejudice in favor of this marriage as if she were sure to be an affectionate sister to me, and a tender, true wife to you, my dearest Henry"; sending good wishes: "May you be happy, Dear--And a happy marriage is the best form of happiness which is granted upon this earth, be very certain"; recounting a story about Pen's reaction to the engagement; writing that Pen's main interest at the moment is the upcoming carnival: "I hear of nothing but masks & dominos between the sentences of Grimm's German stories and 'L'ami des enfants'"; reporting on Pen's studies and growth ("he has a rounder rosier face here than he wore in London ever"); writing that she has had a visit from the "celebrated Improvisatrice" Giannina Milli, who recited two poems for EBB, Robert Browning, and Anna Jameson; inviting Henry and Amelia to come visit them in Florence; mentioning that she is happy to think of the family members currently together at the estate Bryngwyn in Shropshire, "and of that dear kind Storm's [her brother Charles John] kindness to everybody."
