Summary
Thanking George for his letter; writing that he will make use of the information George has provided, but only to show the untrustworthiness of accounts of EBB's life such as Ingram's; mentioning that he may attempt a "fuller account" at some point; concerning portraits of EBB, writing that George Smith prefers the one by Hayter, given to RB by Mary Trepsack, to the miniature in Octavius's possession; telling George that they have had a letter from Pen and Fannie, who have been hosting many visitors, the most recent being Odo and Arthur Russell: "the owners of the Palazzo do its honours in high glee"; discussing the confirmation he has heard from various quarters that Ca' Rezzonico was a sound financial investment.
