Summary
Answering George's letter and suggesting that he bequeath one of the busts of EBB made by William Wetmore Story (see MA 2148.72), most probably to the National Portrait Gallery; describing the donation of a chalk drawing of EBB by Field Talfourd, commissioned by the art collector Ellen Heaton, to the National Portrait Gallery and the showing of it during the National Portrait Exhibition of 1868; writing that Heaton is having two copies of the portrait made, one for herself and one for RB, before she completes the donation; writing that he is sorry to hear of James Martin's illness; mentioning that Pen is away (he had matriculated at Christ College, Oxford in October 1869).
