Summary
Discussing the terms of his will and some changes he would like to make to it in light of the fact that he has no children; states that he wishes to leave his estate to his wife for the duration of her life, with the specification that it will be distributed among his relations thereafter; also stipulating that his drawings be sold "as friendly admirers think fit & the proceeds added to the money invested which may belong to me at time of death & which will fall to my relatives after wife's departure."; informs him that he is having company and asks if he might send him some cigarettes, as he has "little 'bacco"; gives an account of going for a ride on his horse Merrylegs in the company of Bryan Hook and being thrown from his horse when Hook's mare ran away with him and Merrylegs followed suit.
