Summary
Concerning the deed (discussed in MA 2148.58-60), telling George that he knows relatively little about it; relaying that John Kenyon's executor had contacted him, saying that it was in his possession and asking what he wished to do with it; putting the matter in George's hands; telling him that Henry Fothergill Chorley had written to Joseph Arnould, asking that someone else take over for him as a trustee ("I don't know how much of this is real diffidence & how much pique"); writing that he would prefer George to be the other trustee: "I need not say that yourself, sole and absolute disposer of Ba's & Pen's belongings after my death, would suit me most--but you are delicate,--which I understand, and may insist on a coadjutor--in that case,--dear George, pray press into the office anybody whom yourself would trust in a like matter"; mentioning that he only skimmed the deed to make sure that all of EBB's money would go to her in case of his death; discussing how the two of them deal differently with their financial holdings.
