Summary
Sending him updates on Elizabeth's physical and emotional state; writing that they left Florence earlier than originally planned and arrived in Rome on November 17th; describing how Robert broke the contents of each of George's letters to Elizabeth; thanking George for his considerateness in his accounts of the progress of Henrietta's illness; writing about Elizabeth's response to the news of Henrietta's death: "She has borne it, on the whole, as well as I should have thought possible--but the wounds in that heart never heal altogether, tho' they may film over. God bless her."
