Summary
Thanking George for his note and assuring him that he (RB) was not vexed by his suggestion (presumably, about the legal and financial questions discussed in MA 2148.60); adding that "it would not be paying the unfeigned respect I have for your sense & power of observation if I supposed you could suspect me to be capable of any negligence or indirectness in such a matter as the future comfort of Ba & her child"; writing that he has invested their money based on sound advice, and "the ultimate disposal of it has been a settled thing from the beginning"; asking George's advice about Lord Kingsdown's bill regarding wills made by British subjects in foreign countries; sending his "truest wishes for your fortunate housekeeping and general welfare. Ba writes the rest, and for me, no less than herself, whenever she writes affectionately--as, I dare say, is sometimes the case!"
