Needell, noting that "Mrs. Needell's earlier publishers (Messrs Blackwood) have not yet seen this story, & they are not to hear if it unless you conclude that it will not suit you"; informing them that he has "done nothing whatever about the Bondman" except send a copy to America, although the American publisher "has, however, been here".
