Summary
Being an unsigned note written on the inside flap of an envelope saying "Dear E.B.B. - You are, I know, an excellently impatient person. I like that sometimes - it argues an interest in a thing. Therefore I tell you that I signed an agreement with the publishers to complete this work (2 vols of 320 pages each) by the 14th of December. But I made them add 'if possible'."
