Summary
Discussing Scottish educational institutions in general, and Fettes College and attacks on it by "the Radicals" in particular; telling Knight that he will watch the matter closely and resist any rash actions by the House of Lords; writing that "So far as I know, Lord Randolph Churchill has not hitherto taken any active share in the discussion of Educational Questions"; concluding "If the newer Radicalism aims at levelling culture, as well as everything else, we have, indeed, reason to despair of the future."
