Summary
Commenting on George Bernard Shaw; expressing her delight at receiving his letter "...and to know you understood. [Never mind] about the seven years - perhaps the Lord will win you in the end;" adding, in autograph, "I hope so[.] You are [illegible]. I knew G.B.S. had seen your Eileen before he died but mercifully she didn't see him during his last few days. There was something tragic but very beautiful. As you know, I disliked his politics and didn't care for his writings but I adored his character. There was nothing revolutionary about him and he was far more Conservative than I am. However, when we meet I will tell you all. I may be coming to Plymouth next week for a few days before sailing for America and if I have time will ring you up. Am so glad you approve of Mr. Fry;" adding, in autograph, I feel you two should meet[.];" expressing her hopes that they will meet when she returns.
