Summary
Referring to the "fuss about Blair's College;" discussing the Dundee Question and suggesting "...we ought all to agree to ascertain, first, whether the agreement was or was not validly made, and is now binding. If it was we must make the best of it. But never was any agreement made by any men in such a condition of ignorance...I have never been able to see what good it did for St. Andrew's. The advantage of Dundee was manifest - But as no one seems satisfied as to the original agreement it is difficult to see how it can work. I deplore the whole business & quite agree that the sooner there is no one solicited the better."
