Summary
Saying to his recipient that he is respondind to his letter from the first of the month and that he sent a dispatch to Rome to Reverend Secretary Datario which was coded to protect them against the difficulties and uncertainties now abroad in Italy; saying he sent a copy to the correspondent with a list of requests given to Mr. Rusello, whom he asked to consider the business between him and Reverend Legate; stating that the ambassador of France, who had undertaken the duty to send the dispatch, has no personal courier service except between here and Boulogne, and that everything from Boulogne must go by ordinary mail to the Court, he decided to make a copy and dispatch the present courier to inform the very Reverend Legate, if necessary, but also to notify Rome by sending the dispatch, the copy, or letter, whichever comes first; enclosing messages from the Spanish nuncio with his letter; adding that he continues to recommend himself to him and begs humbly to kiss the hands of the very Reverend Legate.
