Summary
Saying to his recipient that he has seen his son and that he has informed him that he can depend on him for his convenience and advantage, also that his correspondent can be sure that he is grateful for the opportunity to help him, that he, however, does not see an opening presently, and that there are other contenders who, having better qualifications, are being considered first; remarking that he will be on the lookout for the arrival of the box of oysters which he is so kindly favoring him with; (in his own hand) saying that on Tuesday evening he had a long talk with the Sig. Cavaliere who he hopes will succeed in everything he does because he is capable, spirited and alert, and that he may be sure of his desire to be of service.
