Summary
Saying to his recipient that not until yesterday did he learn from his correspondent's lawyer (Curiale) about his letter of the 17th of the past month together with a memorandum concerning the appeal he plans to address to the reigning Pope, and since the case concerns an act of pure justice on both sides, he told him that although his good offices could not have any influence in this matter, he would not fail to use them for whatever they were worth, with the Cardinal Auditor (Pro-Uditore) who is in charge of the affair.
