Summary
Saying to Marchesa Angélique Potenziani that her weakness is not alarming her, as she had suffered an attack of fever, but that her anxiety has another reason, namely that, upon leaving Barile, she injured her right breast passing through a door; reporting that upon her return to Naples, she consulted a surgeon, D. Bruno, who prescribed medication and assured her that she did not suffer from cancer, also that her religion helped her in these troubled days; inquiring about Laure, whose left eye had been swollen, and telling her that Caroline (presumably her daughter), suffered yesterday after dinner a skight "attaque de nerf" (a mild nervous breakdown).
