Summary
Saying to a friend that he was not able to answer his last letter of the past month due to the holidays and choir functions, he was also still upset about his mother's death; stating that he has now received a second letter from him with a better marriage proposal for his ward and that he is no longer considering the son of Sig. Niccolò Monti of Pergola, but will promptly accept the marriage with Sig. Bonderici of Cagli, especially since the mother of the young man, as well as that of the young woman, are both from Perugia; telling him to proceed with the contract, but in case it is too late, as he fears, he should make inquiries with Fabbriano, Matelica, Camerino, Città di Castello, since he himself is too busy with a thousand affairs to look for a husband; also mentioning Cardinal Braschi who is being considered as a papal candidate and who would be a good choice, although there are better ones; promising him a small box of Neapolitan spice cakes if he can find him a good husband for his little girl.
