Summary
Saying to his recipient that he sees from his note about the provisions of ammunition and food located in this fortress of Rocca and town, that there is a certain quantity of salt-petre and sulphur and that he would like to know how they are stored, whether they are in a location in which they may deteriorate and whether there are machines and persons who may be able to operate this material; adding that he would also like to know whether in this town or in places nearby, big boards of elm wood of other good wood are available.
