Summary
Saying to her recipient that she is well aware of his fine courtesy which triumphs not only during rural leisure, but also during war as an innate quality; also saying that the strokes of his heroic pen should not be devoted to anything else but the Goddess Athena, so spirited and expressive are they; adding that she does not feel adequate to be the subject of such sublime material and reprimanding his prodigality in making her seem what she is not; wishing that he would understand her request; in the postscript, in her own hand, saying that she is pleased to hear that he is enjoying the company of his wife and paying her respects to his sister; presenting herself as ready to serve.
