Thanking him for his postcards and "for your news that Antoncelli may want to translate Death of a Hero;" adding that he is sending Antoncelli a copy of the book as requested; saying "I have been here more than two months, working hard at a new novel. Unless I have to go to France next month (which I may have to do) I hope to stay on here until the autumn comes and the new book is finished;" asking if he received "...a copy of Soft Answers. I thought you might be amused by the Charlemagne Cox story."
