Part of a collection of telegrams and letters from J. Pierpont Morgan to Dr. William W. Baldwin between 1904 and 1910 (MA 8739.1-14). This collection is part of a much larger collection of letters to Dr. Baldwin from authors, English royalty and other luminaries of the period including Henry James, Samuel Clemens, William Dean Howells, Sarah Orne Jewett, Henry Cabot Lodge, Booth Tarkington, Edith Wharton and Constance Fenimore Woolson. Requesting that Dr. Baldwin come to New York as soon as he can; saying "I am at my library every morning from half past ten to half past eleven take first steamer that you can go By without regard to cost & I will gladly make up the difference J Pierpont Morgan".
