Returning the essay on Gerard Manley Hopkins he has written for publication in Miles' s anthology The poets and poetry of the century; stating that he is "quite indifferent" as to what is done with the portion of the text dealing with himself and that he disinclined to write the notice and select the poems for the section on his friend Henry Newbolt; informing him that he has left his home in Yattendon for the health of two members of his family, that he is currently house-hunting, and asking that he inform him if knows of a likely residence.
