Concerning plans to ask the president of Magdalen at Oxford [i.e. Mr. Thomas Herebert Warren] to contribute a notice on the subject of Bridges to the anthology The poets and poetry of the century; noting that he has sent a few lines he has written on the subject of Gerard Manley Hopkins, along with a selection of Hopkin's poems, to the poet's parent for approval, "then I will forward to you if they are passed . Whether you will decide to print the poems I cannot guess - They are very old, but of extreme poetic merit despite their strangeness."
