Summary
Asking him to keep the letters that may come for him a few days longer; relating his travel details to Naples and adding that he will write him from Naples with the exact day of his arrival in Florence; saying "I am, each day, thinking much about you - wondering, conjecturing, shaking your hand. I have been enjoying Rome so much that I have staid twice as long as I meant - & now this chance to have a free & quiet look at the Naples museum - & at Pompei & the whole place seen only hurriedly, in winter, in faraway years, irresistibly solicits me. But it will be of the briefest & you will have more news of me in 2 or 3 days and then we shall have [a] long talk. Pazienza!"
