Summary
Expressing his delight "with the prospect of seeing you so soon...It is charming that your mother is able to be with you, & I congratulate you both equally - only regretting that the necessity you will be under of being with her will probably prevent you from coming to 34 De Vere Gardens instead of to an hotel...Katherine Loring is writing you at Queenstown to wail to you over this - but she does, I know, expect to possess herself bodily of Mrs. Baldwin as much as possible & take her, in London, off your mind. I'm extremely sorry that you speak of so short a stay. But I understand your pressure. My sister yearns to see you once again - you will find her much helped by your advice, but, I think, [illegible] progressing & completely gone. Your suggestions have immensely alleviated her pain;" recommending the South Kensington Hotel to him and offering to get rooms for him there.
