Sending him the manuscript for a poetry pamphlet, along with his suggestions as to the manner in which it might be produced and published ("I have prepared it with a view to making a paper-covered pamphlet of 32 pp. (or less) to be sold at a shilling -- or at sixpence even, if that is possible. In form I should like it to be an octavo, such as the Shilling Garland (or a little larger); paper something like that on which the Studio is printed ... My idea is to produce a pamphlet that may be sold cheaply and yet have a comely appearance."); the proposed pamphlet being published by Mathews later that year under the title Chambers of imagery.
