Summary
Expressing her pleasure at the publication of Carey McWilliams's biography of her father, Ambrose Bierce, by the Boni firm, and her wish that they had been responsible for the publication of Bierce's collected works rather than the Neale Publishing company; noting that Neale is issuing a new edition of Bierce's Write-it right, despite her understanding that Boni had purchased all rights to Bierce's writings from him; stating that she has never received "one cent of royalty" for her father's writings and that she has fallen on hard times financially of late; praising Carey McWilliams as "a splendid sterling chap".
