Thanking him for sending her a copy of Margaret Fuller's life, and explaining that she has been recovering from a prolonged illness; announcing that she is nearly finished writing an article on Mary Wollestonecraft, thanking him for the loan of some books on Wollestonecraft, and commenting on the pathos of her subject's life and letters; noting that she has nearly finished reading Wrongs of women and expressing her admiration for it, and offering to send him her "little Tauchnitz edition of Shelley".
