Summary
Concerning a recent trip to Oxford and a visit with [Robert] Bridges ("He has written an article on Darley for the Academy which he is sending to (at Gr Ormand St). He has also translated the 6th Aeneid & quite surprised at the way his version shows up the other fellows; & has written an essay on Shakespeare who doesn't come at all well out of it!"), and his current stay at Twickenham with [Dugald Sutherland] MacColl, "MacColl's house is very delightful ... The first thing I saw in his bookshelves was my Quarterly article pencilled all over with angry exclamations marks. He has books on Art enough to make you sick - also Trench's poems - I looked at him again, & he won't do."
