Summary
Collection consists of 14 autograph letters signed from Henry James to his cousin George Higginson and to Higginson's wife Emily and one letter from Henry James' brother, William James to George Higginson. The letters discuss the loss of his sister Alice in 1892 and his brother William in 1910, his thoughts on the life that George and Emily are leading in America, offering travel advice on the Higginson's travels in Europe with detailed recommendations and giving a rare insight into James' emotions in the midst of major life events.
