Volume 29 (MA 1286) of a 33-volume collection of the correspondence of Sir James Pulteney, his family and distinguished contemporaries "the larger portion having reference to the Duke of York's Expedition to the low Countries and to the Threatened Invasion of England by Napoleon" (MA 487, MA 297 and MA 1260-1290). The arrangement of the collection is alphabetical by the author. A collection of 58 letters and documents primarily to Sir James Pulteney arranged alphabetically by author including 16 letters signed from Charles Lennox, Duke of Richmond to Henry Dundas and Sir James Pulteney between April 3 and November 29, 1793. The volume also contains letters, copies of letters and documents from Sir Evan Nepean, Sir Oliver Nicolls, William Loftus Otway, Viscount Palmerston, Edward Pellew, Viscount Exmouth, William Pym, Sir William Henry Robertson, George Rose and John Southey Somerville concerned primarily with military logistics, troop positions, supplies and transport.
