Volume 24 (MA 1281) of a 33-volume collection of the correspondence of Sir James Pulteney, his family and distinguished contemporaries "the larger portion having reference to the Duke of York's Expedition to the low Countries and to the Threatened Invasion of England by Napoleon" (MA 487, MA 297 and MA 1260-1290). The arrangement of the collection is alphabetical by the author. Items in the collection have been described individually in separate catalog records; see individual records for more information (MA 1281.1-35).

Summary
A collection of 35 letters primarily to Sir James Pulteney arranged alphabetically and including ten letters signed by William Wyndham, Lord Grenville, two letters signed by Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and one 16-page document unsigned and undated, docketed "Secret" and titled "Instructions from General Sir Charles Grey Comm'r in chief of the Southern District" to the Commanding Officers of Kent & Sussex "to attend to, and to enforce with the strictest minuteness."
