Volume 21 (MA 1278) of a 33-volume collection of the correspondence of Sir James Pulteney, his family and distinguished contemporaries "the larger portion having reference to the Duke of York's Expedition to the low Countries and to the Threatened Invasion of England by Napoleon" (MA 487, MA 297 and MA 1260-1290). The arrangement of the collection is alphabetical by the author. Items in the collection have been described individually in separate catalog records; see individual records for more information (MA 1278.1-42).

Summary
A collection of 42 letters and documents primarily to Sir James Pulteney arranged alphabetically and including fifteen signed documents of General Orders written between July 1806 and April 1808 by Colonel Thomas Carey, one document and two letters signed by Frederick Josias, Prince of Saxe-Coburg, two letters from Sir Charles Gregan Craufurd, and two letters of Sir John Dalrymple, Earl of Stair.
