The Cerbere, a French brig originally named Chalier at its launch in 1794, but renamed "Cerbère in 1795, was captured from the French on July 29, 1800, and renamed HMS Cerbere.

Concerning the capture of the Cerbère; appears to be reporting that he has appointed officers to command the ship and assigned men in sufficient numbers to make her serviceable; adding that he has also informed the Commander in Chief.
