Enclosing two letters to inform him that "the Enemy are not at all advanced in their Attempt against Nimeguen & that We have made two small but successful Sorties;" relating plans for another attack on the Enemy and expressing confidence in their success; adding "The Troops are in good Spirits & under Cover, the French in wretched Huts, exposed to all the Inclemency of the Season."
