Summary
Concerning troops positions, movements and strength relating to a possible retreat in the face of an imminent attack; relating specifics of the plan of attack or retreat of the Duke of York, the Prince of Coburg, the Prince of Orange and General Kray; discussing proposed lines of defense and saying that Lord Cornwallis had arrived; adding, in a postscript, "The Duke is returned but I have not heard of any thing except that the P. of Orange has been obliged to fall back; where to I do not know, but the next Accounts from that Quarter will probably determine our Stay here."
