Asking for his help on behalf of his friend Admiral Bertie, brother of Mrs. Dickens whose Memorial requesting an additional pension is the subject of this letter; saying "any Interest beyond the limits of justice & the relative Merits of this Case to others would I know be useless, but as far as my good wishes towards Admiral Bertie can prevail with you within those limits I wish to exert their Influence."
