Concerning the raid on Boulogne; saying "I believe no damage was done off Boulogne and I doubt very much if any can be done - tho' I understand that Sir Home [Popham] is quite satisfied with his experiment and has been able to persuade Mr. Pitt & Lord Melville to be equally so."
