Apologizing for "too frequently encroaching on the favourable protection you wear [sic] pleased to honor me with when in Paris, Spring 1804;" discussing his financial distress in England and his desire to be granted a leave to return home; promising to pay full homage to him when he returned with his family and promising to reside in or near Paris so that he could educate his five daughters in his country.
