Summary
Asking for an audience with him for ten minutes; expressing concern that he had no replies to his letter to him of August 24 (MA 1267.42) and October 15; saying that if he were granted an audience "it will enable me Inevitably to Exculpate myself, in your opinion, as well as prove to me, a liberality of which I never could have any cause of doubt. The constant turns my disorder has taken in consequence of the violence of the effects of the Barege Waters (which has made it impossible for me to comply with the order of the 21st of Fructidor) still detains me here; soon as I am to be moved I mean to Benefit by the assistance and advice of the only man in Europe that can effect a cure without performing an operation;" asking him to deliver his "Domestic Papers, Concerns etc etc etc" to his family in England if he should not survive the treatment.
