Concerning Sir John Johnstone's disapproval of Mr. Henning; concluding "In short, it comes now to this - That the old Friends of the Family are to be deserted for their attachment - It is now openly avowed that those Friends who have supported you are to be treated with Insolence & Contempt - & your Recommendation opposed. Mr. Henning is determined & so am I. We have signed a Paper to which we have pledged our Powers & up to the PLan laid down in this Paper, we will act whatever it may cost...Sir John Johnstone shall be humbled and humbled very low Indeed. I will show the signed Paper to you, but to no one else."
