Summary
Concerning a recommendation for a Mr. Robilliard for the Commissionership in the Victualling Office; saying he will "not apply to Sir John [Johnstone], he is very angry with me. He has signed his Name to a most insolent Letter to me - written I believe by Mrs. Nugent. I know the reason of all this. In short, The Malice of Mrs. Nugent, will never allow her to pass over or forgive the Conduct of those who wished to show some Respect to their late Friend. I am so determined myself that unless Sir John makes a proper apology to me, I will not interfere for him and Sir John cannot carry the Borough."
