Reporting that he has "looked into the allegation, which has been so very lately filed, and I observe that Mrs. Fawcett avers that the alteration was made by Lady Bath in the Instructions for the Will, before her Ladyships Signature - If this be so, then the case, as to the Power, will be weakened - no notice whatever of the alteration is taken in the attestation by the Witnesses;" suggesting the desirability of having a shorthand writer to "take down the arguments;" saying he has not yet received the report on the breakwater & apron but expects the report that day.
