Reporting on a meeting he had with Mr. Lowten on the Weymouth Election; saying "I think if Sir John [Lowther Johnstone] acts upon a regular System, that he may [illegible] the Borough. If he does not make a Compromise, with the other Party, and which he appears determined not to do, then I am satisfied that he should ask Mr. Gabriel Steward for his assistance in his votes, and to request that he would stand a candidate; adding that he saw Mr. Hanson and discussed the request for an Order for Time to Answer; concluding "Great Blame is to be imputed to him for the Delay - but in future no Time shall be lost."
