Summary
Concerning the case of Mr. Hepburn; saying "it will not be in my power to interfere between that Gentleman and the Court of King's Bench, under the Judgement of which Mr. Hepburn is at present confined;" explaining the details of the law with respect to the situation; concluding "I should have been very happy to have seconded your wishes on this occasion had circumstances allowed of it, but an improper or unusual interference with the Court of King's Bench in the Administration of Justice, you will I am sure agree with me, is by no means advisable."
