Summary
Thanking him for "having, in so satisfactory a manner, settled the difference between the Lanark & Sea Fencibles, which at first view appeared so serious & justified the necessity of an immediate investigation by a Gen'l which you have so very judiciously terminated - The accounts from Ireland very unfavorable, but I hope Hulse at the head of the 7000 Men, now on their way, will happily settle the business; & good accounts from Mediterranean will make all up."
