Concerning the timing of the return of his Regiments to Ashford; saying he "cannot possibly state the exact time of the return of your Regiments to Ashford, It will I suppose depend pretty much upon the Length of time the Trials of the Mutineers will take up, as the Admiralty have intimated to the Duke of York their wish for a strong force to remain at Sheerness and neighbourhood pending the trials;" detailing other troop assignments.
