Reporting on the situation with the Sheerness mutiny; saying "The Repulse 64 & Le[o]pard 50th had withdrawn themselves from the mutineers Fleet at the Nore - The former unfortunately got aground under their fire, & exposed to it for one Hour & half, but at Length got off & safe into the Harbour - No Men Killed but the 2nd Lieut Lost a Leg, & Many that Lodged in her Hull - The Leopard got safe up the Thames, & in the Bustle several mer't ships slipped & run up the Thames - I hope this business will soon be over, & your Reg'ts return to Ashford."
