Championing the choice of Jersey as the Squadron Headquarters of the Duke of Bouillon; asking that he encourage Sir Richard Bickerton and Admiral Domett to accede to the Duke of Bouillon's wishes; adding, in a postscript, "From Granville & St. Maloe, you must pass this Island to attain Guernsey; the passage to Jersey requires only one tide, to Guernsey two."
